Chauffeured Ground Services
1. Reservation & Payment Terms
1.1 Deposits
No date or vehicle is reserved until a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total reservation cost.
Deposits must be made via credit card, check, Zelle, or ACH. Debit cards not accepted.
1.2 Balance & Fees
Airport Transfers - All Vehicles → Full balance is due when Services are Schedule.
Vehicles <15 Passengers → Full balance is due 10 days prior to the scheduled trip.
Vehicles >15 passengers → Full balance is due 45 days prior to the scheduled trip.
Late Fees: A 10% late fee will be added every 30 days for unpaid balances.
A 3.8% credit card processing fee will be applied to payments made via credit card.
2. Cancellation & Changes
2.1 Standard Cancellation Terms
Cancellations at any time: Credits will be applied to client account(s)
Vehicles less than (<) 15 passengers → Cancellations within 10 days of the trip are non-refundable.
Vehicles greater than (>) 15 passengers → Cancellations within 30 days of the trip are non-refundable.
No-Shows are subject to the same cancellation policies.
2.2 Changes to Itinerary
Requests are accommodated on a case-by-case basis and when assets & schedule permit.
3. Service & Liability
3.1 Delays & Mechanical Issues
OVT is not responsible for delays due to weather, road conditions, accidents, airline delays, U.S. Customs issues, or any other unforeseen events.
In case of a mechanical breakdown, OVT will only be responsible for making up lost time at a mutually agreed date.
If a mechanical issue occurs before the trip, OVT will work with the customer to substitute a comparable vehicle if available.
The cancellation of a customer's event (e.g., wedding, concert, etc.) does not cancel the transportation reservation.
3.2 Wait Time & Overtime Charges
Wait Time and Overtime charges apply when the service extends beyond the originally scheduled time.
Charges are billed in 15-minute increments once the scheduled time has exceeded.
Airport Transfers – Please see Section 2.2 Changes to Itinerary. $25 Rescheduling Fee.
Government-recognized holidays, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve incur a $17.76 holiday charge.
4. Passenger Conduct & Liability
4.1 Alcohol & Conduct Policy
OVT does NOT provide alcohol. Passengers may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
South Carolina law (Section 61-4-110) prohibits open alcohol containers in vehicles without partitions.
Any law enforcement fines related to alcohol consumption will be the responsibility of the client.
OVT assumes no liability for fines issued to passengers or drivers due to alcohol-related violations.
The driver has the right to refuse entry to anyone who appears overly intoxicated.
Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited. A $1000 smoking fine applies, and the trip will be immediately terminated without refund.
4.2 Termination of Trip
The driver may terminate the trip without refund if:
Passengers violate rules or policies outlined in this agreement.
A passenger behaves aggressively, belligerently, or endangers others.
A passenger opens emergency hatches or windows (except in emergencies).
Any passenger consumes or possesses illegal drugs or narcotics.
The vehicle exceeds legal seating capacity.
4.3 Financial Liability for Damages
The customer assumes full financial liability for any damage caused to the vehicle during the rental period.
$300.00 → Excessive cleanup. e.g. Glitter
$1000.00 → Sanitation fee for bodily fluids.
$30.00 per missing auxiliary cord or charger.
$1000.00 → Smoking violation & immediate trip termination.
Other damages will be billed at cost.
OVT is not responsible for lost or left-behind items.
